Havaianas: A New Kind of ‘Window Shopping'
What if you could design your own flip-flops to match that certain bathing suit or outfit?
Havaianas teamed up with Bloomingdales in NYC to offer customers the chance to do just that. We made it happen, in not one area of the store, but in two.
A custom built Make Your Own Havaianas (MYOH) Shop-In-Shop lives on the 2nd floor of the store. Like a blank canvas with a modern look and feel with a touchscreen order station, custom built display walls with oversized industrial hooks to display the pops of vibrant colors in the merchandise, complete with storage, try on stations and special collection gallery like displays.
For the summer months the MYOH was brought down to street level. A two-window takeover to showcase a factory-like scene that caught passers-by to stop, look and create. One window featured the touchscreen surrounded by fun colorful graphics and instructions on how to use the interactive, while the other played up the factory theme, with moving cogs and tubes filled with multicolored sandal straps. Customer’s were able to pick the color sole, straps, and decorations, when finished they received a QR code or SMS code and then they would head up to the 2nd floor of the store to pick up their order.
Truly brings new meaning to the phrase ‘window shopping’, attracting and engaging shoppers on the streets and then into the store for some shopping.
